The Epic Nerd

I’m a huge nerd and I’m proud of it! I have always been a studious little bookworm, and time hasn’t changed that. It was hard for me to pick a favourite subject in school because I liked almost all of them. Learning was something I wanted to do, unlike a lot of my classmates, and I tended to hate school because it was so slow and boring. I always knew exactly what I wanted to do when I grew up: be a veterinarian.

Before becoming a nerd, I was an artsy little child. My love of art continued throughout school and I took a long time to finish all of my projects because I wanted them to be the best they could be.

That work ethic then transferred over to my school work. I worked hard on every project and studied for every exam – it actually upset me when I didn’t have time to put in 100% of my effort on something.

This is me over the years…

And then I went to university to pursue a degree in Animal Bioscience, doing my first year at Lakeland College before transferring to the University of Saskatchewan. I completed my third year and had applied to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine and interviewed for a spot. I was accepted to start in the fall of 2017, so I am beyond excited to live out my dream!
